Supporting Groups who Collect Resources for Recycling

The Tsukuba City government pays 5 yen per kilogram of recycle resources (cans, bottles, newsprint, cardboard, magazines, paper, etc.) collected by local groups. The maximum any one group can collect is 40,000 yen. The amount is paid on the total collected between April of one year and March of the next (the usual fiscal year in Japan).

Groups that would like to participate in this program should contact the Recycling Division (029-836-1111 ext. 8263) by May 31.
