I am heading to Japan next week. My great Uncle was Glenn Hodak who crashed and survivied the Tall in The Saddle. I am trying to locate this monument to visit with my son. Can you provide an address or a way to locate this monumnet?
    Thank you

If you don`t have your own transport, getting to the crash site and monument might
be a bit tricky. The nearest rail-station is Miraidaira on the Tsukuba Express Line. You can get to there in less than an hour from Tokyo`s Akihabara, Asakusa or
Kita Senju Stations. Miraidaira is the 4th stop from last (the Rapid train doesn`t stop there – so make sure to get on a Semi-rapid or a Local). Once you reach the station though, you`ll have to take a cab – and explaining the exact location will be tricky – it`s actually in an area so rustic it`s called Raccoon-dog Burrow! In addition, asking the driver to wait for you while you are there might be difficult for you without a working abilty in Japanese (I get you can have someone at your hotel write out the request for you. The address is: 300-2302 Ibaraki Tsukuba Miraishi Mamiana!
In Japanese the site is called the BEE Niju- Kyu- Tsuiraku Genba.
I sure hope you can make it there!
