Tsukuba Expo Center to be closed for 5 days

If you have guests coming to Tsukuba and if you are thinking of taking them to the Tsukuba Expo Center next week, please be aware that it’ll be closed for 5 days next week. May 28 (Mon.) and 29 (Tue.) are their regular closing days, but the Expo Center will also be closed from May 30 (Wed.) to June 1 (Fri.) for maintenance. It’ll be reopened on June 2 with a brand new planetarium program.

If you or your kids are into plants, then you might be interested in going to this event on Sunday:

Meets the Science(the 3rd one in the series)
“Welcome to the World of Wheat”
May 27, Sunday
1st session: 13:30 to 14:00 (tickets will be distributed from 12:30)
2nd session: 15:00 to 15:30 (tickets will be distributed from 14:00)
This event is free, but you will need to pay for admission.

By the way, did you know that the new exhibit was added to the Expo Center last month? The name of the new exhibit is “Science Works.” It’s a hands-on display of “science jobs” which introduces various scientists and “science jobs” to kids. If you haven’t been there in a while, this place might be a good place to visit ;-)
